No school in Portugal for a whole month! Just hope people don't do stupid things like they did this past week. Yesterday, people (mostly college students which colleges are closed) just decided to go to the beach! It looked just like summer in the pictures, completly irresponsible! Also, people were making parties literally called "Corona Party" wearing masks and driving fake ambulances

Just spare a thought for people in abusive and toxic households who may have to self isolate or be locked down in horrific situations in the coming days without an escape route

Schools, colleges and universities closed in France until further notice. FFF's football competition suspended, LFP's ones should follow next. President Macron made an announcement yesterday and the Prime Minister will answer to questions on TV today. Phase 3 (higher level of alert) is still not officially set up at the scale of France but specific measures are already taking place in five departements: Oise, Haute-Savoie, Morbihan, Corse-du-Sud (especially in Ajaccio) and Haut-Rhin (especially in Mulhouse).

The best thing to remember that whether things are kept open or closed is to keep good hygiene routines.
It is crazy that it has taken a virus to get people to simply wash their hands more regularly which is what you should be doing anyways.
Coronavirus is just a different kind of flu, which isn't new and can only be spread by physical contact(for now).
Keep your hygiene up and it will be fine.

For now in Poland 61 confirmed cases. There's panic nationwide. Schools, universities, kindergartens are closed until March 25th or maybe even longer. Theatres, cinemas, museums are closed but for some reasons nightclubs and bars are not. Many Polish music stars such as Doda inform via InstaStory that we should just stay at home and don't make the same mistakes as Italy did. I hope we won't, I'm surely locking myself at home. But unfortunately I saw a recording of some Polish students at the club chanting "Korona here, Korona there, Korona can kiss our asses"... no comment on that one. Another absurd is that even the Pope says we shouldn't have any masses in churches. But no, our priests say that there should be EVEN MORE masses than before to heal our souls. There's also a fact that Polish churches create kind of Rosary Circle on our borders to keep away the virus, so massive stupidity from our priests. Our Minister of Health says that at the end of this week there can be as many as over 1000 confirmed cases in Poland. So, my Eurovision Friends, stay safe at home

In Latvia our government has decided to forbid events with 200+ people involved (the number 200 is too high for Latvia standarts (it shouldn't be more than 100), but our government doesn't understand that). So far the deadline in April 14. Borders are still open. People, who have recently returned from countries with most cases, are advised to stay home and follow their health for 14 days or go and do the tests to check, if they are positive... This means schools will be more or less closed and education will be provided through online resources (so pupils won't really have holidays as such, but they will have the chance to decide, at what point in their day they want to do studying) - I don't know, how well this will work and if it will have any effect, but we'll see. In jobs involving less people employers are free to decide, what to do with their employees - should they give them freedom from work or not... So in general - except for events involving more than 200 people, everything else is more or less left the same with people having a chance to decide their further actions themselves... So far we have 17 cases, but it's very likely to go up (maybe not too much, but it will), especially because some people are very irresponsible... for example, one lady, that has just returned from Italy (before the lockdown), got permission from her employer, that she can stay home, so what she has done is just out of this world - she has decided to use this free time for herself: go to beauty salons. Obviously the beauty salon workers didn't know anything about her, before she started talking about how great her vacation in Italy was. I don't know, how this situation ended, but I think it's clear enough, that there are irresponsible people, who, despite warnings, don't care about others health. On the other hand - another lady has published her story on FB, where she says, that she'll stay in Italy, no matter what (she was given green light to return in Latvia), because even though she doesn't have positive test for COVID-19, she has decided to stay in Italy to avoid bringing anything back to Latvia. At least she knows, what responsibility is...
