SWEDEN CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION!
29 May 2021. The Swedish Head of Delegation responsible for the North Vision Song Contest of  SVT, Jan Björkman, has just confirmed that the nation will be present at the thirty-sixth edition of the contest.
FANTASIFESTIVALEN WILL BE HELD!
Despite some internal time difficulties, Fantasifestivalen 36 will be held in order to select the next Swedish entrant. Once again an amount of 32 songs will compete in the selection.
The Head of Delegation, Jan Björkman, stated the following:
"We are beyond happy to have come second in the previous edition by our entrant GRANT. Going into the thirty-sixth edition, we're struggling with some minor time issues but being pre-qualified for the final, we do not want to risk another internal selection and have therefore opted to host a full Fantasifestivalen as good as possible. More information shall be revealed soon.

PORTUGAL CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION!
Today, the official Portuguese broadcaster, RTP, has confirmed the Portuguese participation in the thirty-sixth edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
Despite two consecutive non-qualifications, RTP has decided that a national selection will be held to select the Portuguese entry for this edition of the contest. Ten different entries will compete in the grand final of Festival da Canção.

 Armenia is in!Long silence from ARMTV clearly isn't always a good sign. After all, sources within the public broadcaster confirmed to several media outlets that ARMTV's Executive Board wasn't happy with the result in St. Petersburg. However, after some consideration, we can finally reveal that Armenia will be in the 36th edition of NVSC. Our act will be chosen internally. |

Slovenia will NOT compete in the 36th edition
RTVSLO can confirm that Slovenia will unfortunately not attend the 36th edition of the Northvision Song Contest.
The head of delegation could reveal that the poor results as of late is one of the reasons for the withdrawal,
but they also state that they will use this withdrawal to further evaluate and improve until the coming editions ahead.
A return for the 37th edition is not ruled out yet.

  A show never seen before! We can't believe it! We've done it. Fulminacci's Canguro has brought the competition back to our Italian shores for a second time, after his victory in  Russia set the scoreboard alight!
 Despite our high placing in the Betting Odds, we never expected to have to organise this event. It was surely a surprise to everyone, both fans of the competition and the managers of the event. Nonetheless, it is time for Italy and RAI to cooperate peacefully with the NBU to give Europe the most out-of-the-box and well produced show ever seen
The delegation has interacted with the NBU and has built up its facilities across the country to prepare for the edition. Luckily for RAI, it has had recent experience in hosting a contest, with the 35 PQR held in Palermo a blueprint for the delegation to look upon.
Moving forward, the decision of our entry is currently in hot water. We have several options to go with, to best represent ourselves on home soil. Any avenue is still open, however, we want to continue to provide the quality Italy is best known for.

 - Andorra will be present in the North Vision Song Contest #36 - The andorran broadcaster has been quite silent about the participation of the country in the 36th edition of the North Visioin Song Contest. However, after their second qualification in a row, they today announced that they had no reason to withdraw from the competition despite the financial problems. The method to choose the entry still remains unknown. There are rumours that say that Made in Andorra will return once again this edition but the broadcaster has not confirmed nor dismissed such comments from the press. Tunisia Confirms!
Despite a disappointing non-qualification last edition, today via social media the Tunisian broadcaster Télévision Tunisienne 1 confirmed that the country is looking forward to participate in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest.
Preparations have already begun to find the country's next entry. An internal selection process similar to last edition's method will be used with artists encouraged to send in their songs in hopes of being selected.
More information will be revealed in due time.

 The Czech Republic will not take part in the contest this edition (a return in the next edition is almost 100% guaranteed)!

Polish entry for the upcoming 36th edition in 
Italy has to be disqualified from the competition. The council was made aware of the fact that the previous entry, "Cliché" by Karolina Stanisławczyk, unfortunately breaks the following rule in the rulesbook:
