Welcome to the 10th edition of the Themed WWW Song Contest in 
Waterford! 
Normally, every 10th Edition in the main contest (as well as in Retro WWWSC) is a special one. Every edition in Themed WWWSC is special, therefore the 10th Edition will be a ‘Best-Of’ one from the last decade!
What this means is that you get to choose the theme of the edition through a survey.
A survey link was sent to you via personal message. More information on the survey is given to you in the message. The survey link was only sent to those of you in the tag list.
The theme will have to be one of the 9 themes of the past decade, however notice that in order to ensure diversity, we have some restrictions on each of the themes. The 9 themes of last decade along with their restrictions are outlined below.
Junior Edition: Artist must be below 18 years old at the moment the song was released.
Restriction: Do not send the same artist as in Edition #1.
Covers: Covers of internationally known songs.
Restriction: Do not send the same artist as in Edition #2 and do not send a song of the same original artist.
Senior Edition: Artist must be at least 50 years old at the moment the song was released.
Restriction: Do not send the same artist as in Edition #3.
Festive Songs: Songs related to religious events, holidays etc.
Restriction: The song should not be related to the same event/holiday as in Edition #4.
Foreign Language Songs: Songs not in English nor in any of the country’s official languages.
Restriction: The song should not be in the same language as in Edition #5.
Foreign Places: Songs with titles referring to foreign countries or foreign places.
Restriction: The foreign place the song refers to should not be in the same country as in Edition #6.
Animals: Songs with an animal in their title.
Restriction: The animal should not be the same as in Edition #7.
Soundtracks: Songs that have been used as soundtracks of a movie/TV series/video game/musical etc.
Restriction: Songs should not be soundtracks of the same ‘type’ as in Edition #8 (e.g. if your song was used as the soundtrack of a TV series, you may not submit an entry that’s been the soundtrack of a TV series again).
Colours: Songs that have a colour in their title.
Restriction: The colour should not be the same as in Edition #9.
More information/details on each theme may be found in their respective threads. The restrictions for each theme apply only for countries that took part in these editions (e.g. if a country did not take part in #7 and the ‘Animals’ theme is chosen, they are free to go for any animal they like).
