North Vision Song Contest 40 • Associate Broadcasters FinalOfficial Confirmation ThreadConfirm your nation here! If you plan to swap nations, don't confirm yet. All selected entries must be sent to the council through this form for approval. You HAVE to select your entry internally.
You are granted a maximum of two approval submissions that can be sent through the form. There will be no approvals after the second one - please think carefully before you send us your entries! Once your entries become approved, you will receive a notification from the NBU council and the approval sheet can be viewed here.
The confirmations for this Associate Broadcaster Final will work a bit different. There are two different confirmation deadlines.
The first deadline is on January 15th. Every user that already has a country and wants to take part in the ABF has to confirm until that deadline. If you have a country and you don't confirm with it until that date, you will lose your country. Additionally, users that currently don't have a country can take a free country and confirm already.
After the deadline has passed, all countries that have not confirmed their participation yet will be released and any user that did not confirm previously can take a free country through a first come first serve system. The deadline for those users - as well as the general entry deadline for every ABF country - is on January 22nd.
Please note that we still need to approve your entry before you are allowed to post it, which we might not be able to do immediately, so please be considerate by confirming your country and submitting your entry for approval with enough time to spare before the entry deadline.
You can see the currently taken ABF countries by looking at the taglist. To see all nations confirmed, visit the official wiki page.If you are new and want to join NVSC, sign up on the waiting list.1st confirmation deadline: 15 January 2nd confirmation & entry presentation deadline: 22 January

She's somebody that you used to know, But, now she's back, representing Aotearoa, it is ... Kimbra
Kicking off the latest NVSC season with a bang, the Hamilton-born singer will represent the country in the upcoming Associate Broadcasters Final to compete for the chance to appear in Greece for the 40th edition of the Northvision Song Contest. Her musical influences include Prince, Minnie Ripperton, Björk, Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright, Imogen Heap, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder.
She is not new to the NVSC universe, as 9 years ago she competed for New Zealand in second edition of its Asia-Pacific spin-off contest, East Vision Song Contest, where she performed "Good Intent" and placed 12th, which the contest was won by South Korea with miss A and their song "Hush". She was also known hosting the inaugural national selection event, 'We Are New Zealand', for the 5th edition of the East Vision Song Contest in 2014, which was won by Broods and their song "Never Gonna Change".
Since then, she has gone on to create three albums, The Golden Echo (2014), Primal Heart (2018) and A Reckoning (2023), which is due to be released on the 27th January 2023. She also made her acting debut in 2019, starring in the New Zealand musical drama, Daffodils. She has also released a course on music production, via Soundfly in 2020 and is also currently on the panel of New Zealand's reboot of Popstars, since 2020. The entry decided is one of the singles for her upcoming album A Reckoning, which is ..."All I see, all that stays, pictures of us on replay" "Replay!" Kimbra[ 1:33 - 2:03 ]Produced by BRUX, Kimbra & Ryan LottWritten by BRUX & Kimbra In a recent interview, Kimbra describes the song as "the experience of being on loop", where she personifies it as "this movie going around in my head replaying both the beautiful and the terrifying times during a relationship". Hope you enjoy!(Credits to Lars for the post design).
