You're right about the young names. And MF 2018. I still remember when Hagman was singing in Lines and Colours, and he was beyond dreadful. Suddenly, he evicted Loreen with a cover of Shawn Mendes' song, and with a (I have to say it) idiotic staging. Unfortunately, Björkman only wants mehish Spotify songs, sang by pretty faces, and when some interesting names come, they sang totally opposite of their usually discography. FFS, the only two songs from MF2018 I still listen are "Shuffla" and "Party Voice", and those aren't my usual repertoar. I hope there are some names worth listening, and by that, I don't mean Lisa Ajax, Mendez or someone who failed to qualify to Idol live 12 years ago.

I like the way of "revealing" the people.

I have a feeling I will complain a lot this MF season. Who are all these and where are the good names?! Why is Björkman giving spots to Hanson and Malmsjö when we all know they are bottom 1 confirmed?! There's a reason that "My Turn" or "Every Single Day" entered the top 3, lol). They were both very beautiful. Also I agree with what LazyPam said about Anton's staging in 2017 btw.

MANNE LEAM BÅÅSTEDE
Confused? Don't be. If you already could recognize what language the title is, you'd already know what this will be about, as the previously song-searcher, Jon Henrik Fjällgren, has finally found a song to compete with in the 2019th Melfest.
It was previously stated on October 15th, that he, together with John Lundvik, who finished 3rd in 2018 with "My Turn", were active, but still in search for songs for the 2019th edition. But as of today, several sources state that the Colombian-born, Swedish-Sami singer will make his 3rd appearance, after finishing 2nd and 3rd in his respective years.

*finally something worth my interest* According to today's Aftonbladet, former Alcazar member Luna Hedlund will participate in the MF 2019 with a song written by Dotter (MF 2018).

I can also mention that Aftonbladet states that "not many acts in Sweden can do the schlager-pop genre in a good way, but considering that Jessica Andersson's "Party Voice" managed to smash in the radios up until summer, SVT wanted to hunt down another one, and therefor Lina was the perfect specimen for this genre". So for all you "Party Voice" stans out there, we've got another one coming up

Have Alcazar disbanded? Unfortunately, yeah This year is their 20th anniversary, and they're also doing a tour around Sweden up to New Year to celebrate their 20th and last anniversary before the band officially disbands </3

FOUR NEW NAMES, AS LINE-UP REVEAL DATE DROPS CLOSER AND CLOSER
6 days remain until the precious line-up reveal on Tuesday morning, but until then, Aftonbladet has found four more acts from his sources. Namely; Dolly Style, Hanna Ferm, Magnus Carlsson, and John Lundvik.
Dolly Style got their lift off already from their first ever Melfest participation back in 2015 with "Hello Hi", only to finish in the second chance. They made a return to the 2016 edition with "Rollercoaster", to - once again - stay in the second chance. This time, they'll be accommodated with a new Polly (the fourth, to be exact) for their third participation in 2019.
Hanna Ferm, on the other hand, might be a new face for a lot of us. She previously participated in "Sweden's Got Talent" back in 2014, and managed to land in the semis, before her journey ended. Fast forward to 2017, she auditioned to Swedish Idol, only to later finish in a magnificent 2nd place in the final, right behind the winner Chris Kläfford. As she is making her debut in Melfest, it's also reported that Dotter might be involved with her potential Melfest entry, after Dotter posted a picture with her in the studios, but little is known about what her entry is, or who composed it, so all we've gotta do is wait for Tuesday to arrive a.s.a.p.
On a small note, Magnus Carlsson and John Lundvik - who previously were reported to still be in the search for a song - has finally managed to find one that fits them, and therefor will be making their 9th and 2nd appearance in the 2019th edition.
