This time, they'll be accommodated with a new Polly (the fourth, to be exact) for their third participation in 2019.
Again?

MINOR UPDATE
Not gonna report much, but Tobbe Ek from Aftonbladet got new sources that now states that Magnus Carlsson is actually not yet confirmed for the 2019th edition. Magnus Carlsson might have found a song, but he is still awaiting approval from SVT whether he is in out.
Besides that, Aftonbladet can also report that Petra Marklund (previously known as September) is currently on SVTs hunt list for Melfest 2019. Many of you might remember Petra from her hit "Cry for You", which bombed the charts back in 2006. She also performed as one of the interval acts for the 2018 edition, namely a cover of Lill-Babs' "En tuff brud i lyxförpackning".
The source mentions that Marklund has been a frequent name with SVT and Björkman after her hit "Händerna mot himlen" back in 2012, and after her getting to know the stage presence in 2018, they feel like 2019 would be the perfect year to invite her for the competition, and they're currently giving up a free space just for her, in case she accepts the invitation.
"He really wants Petra in, but she hasn't accepted yet. Both Christer and SVT are working hard to convince her", as mentioned in the same source.

TWO NEW NAMES ON THE LIST + ONE FINALLY APPROVED
As we're getting closer and closer to the reveal date, more and more acts are popping up here and there. This time, we'll be graced by the presence of Anna Bergendahl, Rebecka Karlsson, and Margaret.
Anna Bergendahl previously debuted in Melfest in 2010, where she won and got to represent Sweden in Oslo, Norway at Eurovision. Unfortunately, she stumbled at the finishing line in the semis, making Sweden miss their first ever Eurovision final ever. Having the shame over her head, she went quiet with the music, and instead focused on studying in med school for an exchange. In the past few years, Bergendahl has slowly continued her music career, and it now seems like she is ready to take on a second year of Melodifestivalen.
Rebecka Karlsson is no stranger to music, as she's previously participated in both "Sweden's Got Talent" in 2009, as well as 2014, as well as ending up as the runner up of Swedish Idol 2016, behind Liamoo, who previously participated in Melfest 2018 with "Last Breath". She also submitted songs for the 2018 competition, but didn't manage to enter the final 28, but instead, she's got to be one of the backing vocalists of Jessica Andersson's 2018 entry, "Party Voice". I could also swear that she participated in Junior Melodifestivalen in the past, but nothing proves my info, so let's not get deeper into that.
And finally, Margaret, who we all saw facing defeat over Michael Szpak in Krajowe Eliminacje 2016, as well as make her Melfest debut in 2018 with "In My Cabana", will once again make her presence clear for the 2019 competition.

that went fast, lolTWO MORE RETURNEES UP AHEAD
Already 20 minutes into November 24, and Tobbe already seems to be on fire. His sources mention that both Martin Stenmarck and LIAMOO will be making a return for the 2019 competition.
Martin Stenmarck being a fairly familiar face to the Eurovision community, having previously represented Sweden in the 2005 competition. Singing "Las Vegas", he was a auto-qualifier for the final, and later ended up in a mere 19th place. He also previously competed in Melfest 2014 with "När änglarna går hem", as well as 2016 with "Du tar mig tillbaks".
LIAMOO (better known as Liam Cacatian Thomassen) started his music career after winning Swedish Idol back in 2016, winning against the runner up, Rebecka Karlsson, who also is up for competition in 2019. Liam later took part in Melfest 2018 with "Last Breath", sailing through to the final, finishing on a respectable 7th place.

Ok, Anna, Liamoo and Martin got me a bit hyped. Although, I really hope there are some stronger names, which weren't revealed, and by that, I don't mean Mimi Werner.

(POTENTIALLY) LAST RUMOUR REPORT BEFORE THE REVEAL
With less than 24 hours remaining, Aftonbladet can reveal the potential last batch of information until the tuesday stream.
Out with the worse news first: Unfortunately, both Petra Marklund and Magnus Carlsson has declined the invitation. SVT focused on Carlsson having a Swedish song for the competition, but he desired to sing in English instead, and negotiations didn't go well with both parties. As for Marklund, it only seems that SVT didn't convince her enough to make a Melodifestivalen debut for 2019.
On the other hand, we've got two new names that are hovering around the rumour mill: Mohombi, and Malou Trasthe Prytz.
Mohombi should definitely be a super familiar face to the most of you, as he's gained international recognition with hits like "Bumpy Ride", "Dirty Situation" and "Coconut Tree". This would also not be his first appearance in Melfest, as he previously participated in 2005 as Avalon, a duo containing Mohombi himself and his brother, Djo. They competed with the French-English entry "Big Up", but unfortunately didn't end up higher than a 6th place in their semi final.
Not much can be said about Malou Trasthe Prytz, except that she's been around Sweden doing several music competitions. She also happens to be the youngest competitor of 2019, being only 15 y/o, and turning 16 during the Melfest Final in March. As the Eurovision rules state that you need to turn 16 before the actual competition, Trasthe Prytz is just barely eligible for the major competition.
Linda Pira has also been rumoured at the very moment, mostly being in discussion with SVT, as well as trying out different songs, but at the very moment, none of the sources know whether she has accepted or declined the invitation.
And as the very last piece of information, Martin Stenmarck's song is reported to be written by Uno Svenningsson, who has previously been a participant himself.

this is getting out of hand lmao
y'know what, I cba with the "news article" format anymore, especially this close to the reveal pff Aftonbladets Tobbe Ek has just scratched out three more participants in the bunch of sources, namely Arja Saijonmaa, Andreas Johnson and High15. Arja Saijonmaa, being a finnish-swedish singer, previously became the runner up back in Melodifestivalen 1985, resulting in a smash hit with "Högt över havet". She also participated in 2005 with "Vad du än trodde så trodde du fel", which unfortunately didn't reach far, failing in her respective semi final. Andreas Johnson is a major Melfest veteran, making this his 7th appearance. He first entered in 2006 with "Sing For Me", finishing as the runner up behind Carola. His latest participation, however, gave him his worst result thus far, failing to even make the second chance with "Living To Die" in 2015. High15 is a four-girl group, containing people all from the years of 2002 and - surprise! - 2003. Their latest music appearance being on Sweden's Got Talent in 2017, where they finished as high as the semi finals, almost making it to the Grand Finals. On another note, this adds up all participants - not to 25 - but to 24, as the sources also mention that both Hanna Ferm and LIAMOO will be singing in a duet, and not separate. EDIT: and as the cherry on top, Tobbe Ek has given us a list of acts he's heard speculations about: (caution: this list contains both acts that aren't making it, as well as acts who have yet been confirmed by his sources.you can count those with a * next to their name to be out of the race)Linda Pira Andreas Wijk De Vet Du* Ibrahim Nasrullayev Brandsta City Släckers Per Gessle Axel Schylström Sigrid Bernsson Gabriel Fontana Sam-E Ben Mitkus Anis Don Demina* Isa Tengblad Lisa Ajax Saraha Ida Redig Bella & Filippa Petra Marklund* Sean Banan* Jessica Andersson* Pernilla Wahlgren* Helena Paparizou*
