 Greece confirms participation – NorthSong is back! Monday, 21 December 2020 • 16:49  After a great result in Slovakia, from Evangelia, achieving the fifth place with 318 points, the nation was very proud and happy. This proved to everyone that Evangelia was back with a vengeance, and it paid off! This time the nation confirmed their participation in the contest and that the entrant would be chosen through a national selection!More details about the selection! After ERT confirming the national selection, it was revealed that NorthSong 0018 wiould be back! This time with a different format. The country's ratings increased rapidly after the astonishing result Evangelia brought on her second try, and the delegation without any hesitation revealed that they will be bringing back their selection once again.ERT held a press conference with the Head of Delegation, Mr. George Jeckhas who revealed some details depending the next selection of the country. During the press questions, Head of Delegation gave the following statement:"We are very pleased to announce the decision has been made and we are looking forward to all of you knowing about our selection. We so far can reveal that the nation is going to try new things and we hope everyone will join us!  Denmark confirms participation for the 35th edition!Denmark will be present in Russia – selection method revealed!  Denmark has just confirmed that they will be present for the upcoming 35th edition. Despite getting their 7th non-qualification last edition, the Danish broadcaster has announced that the country will be present in the next edition of the North Vision Song Contest set to take place in  Russia. Entry to be revealed in January! Apart from confirming their presence in the upcoming edition, the broadcaster also revealed that their entry will be selected through an internal selection this edition. The entry will be selected in the next few days according to sources, as the song submissions have been narrowed down to the final 10 songs. DR has already planned their entry revelation as well. The Danish entry will be revealed during the special North Vision event Nordvision: Vejen til Rusland hosted by the Danish broadcaster. The event will take place on 16 January 2021 in the Royal Arena in Copehagen where previous North Vision entrant Agnes Obel and Annette Heick will guide the viewers through the big reveal. San Marino will fly to Russia for NVSC 35!
San Marino RTV CONFIRMS participation in NVSC 35
After 3 consecutive final show for  San Marino,
the Titan confirm participation in the next edition!
The HoD: We will organize the selection Festival dei Castelli #12.
This national final is giving us a lot of satisfaction and for the next edition it is confirmed!
Thanks to the latest and most recent results,
San Marino is the first among the microstates
in the "Ranking of Nations", 11th place out of 55 countries.

  THE NETHERLANDS TO COMPETE IN RUSSIA! AVROTROS can announce that the nation will compete in the thirty-fifth edition of the North Vision Song Contest!
After not qualifying to the Grand Final of the thirty-fourth edition in Slovakia, and breaking a 9 edition qualification streak, The Netherlands will return once again. Appetite within The Netherlands has not faltered, and thus the broadcaster has no current reasons to withdraw.
AVROTROS also can confirm that for the first time since the 31st edition, Noordvisie Song Festival will return! A newer format will take place, with more songs and two distinct individual phases of the competition. AVROTROS stated it was brought back to return The Netherlands to the grand final, and to achieve a great result for the nation.
The hunt for the Dutch NVSC entry has begun, and one thing can be sure. It will be serving the Netherlands' finest in terms of music, lyrics & performances, whilst promoting unknown acts within the Netherlands.
Any suggestions from around Europe (and Australia) are more than welcome, and is encouraged by AVROTROS.

 Moscow, the Russia broadcasters Channel One Russia and Russia 1 can announce that they accept the hosting rights of the 35th North Vision Song Contest. Meaning the contest will be held in Russia for the first time ever. More information regarding the city host biddings, hosts, logo's and other hosting related matters will be published when they are known. Russia's participation:This also means that Russia confirms their participation in the upcoming edition, as it will be held in the country itself. More information on the selection process, singer and song will be released when the time is right. The broadcaster is waiting for the new year before releasing anything regarding their participation proces or representant. The call for songs is already opened in the mean time. The Russian broadcaster wishes everyone an Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in forward, may everyones wishes come thru! See you in RUSSIA! |

Israel: Stepping down of the HoDIsrael has just received some unexpected success with Habib Albi placing 7th in the grand final of Nvsc  #34 despite the odds predicting it in 25th place (lol that difference). The broadcaster congratulates Static & Ben El Tavori + Nasrin Kadri for that. However as always there's no light without shadow because only 2 days after the results of the previous edition, the broadcaster also has to announce that its Head of delegation has resigned from his position with immediate effect.. In a very quick recruitment process a successor has already been found and it is Maxim .Yes, I'm withdrawing from Nvsc #35. This should not come as a surprise I guess.  I mean I've basically announced that already 3 editions ago.  My main reason is that I don't enjoy these contests in general as much as I did once anymore and the constant disagreeing with the results that I feel like is increasing at the moment as well as the expenditure of time this requires, but I'm not willing to offer anymore. And why would one take part in a place something like that happens? The decision of my withdrawal has indeed been made a while ago already and was actually planned to come into effect that previous time. However I really didn't want to be the next one leaving the contest after a bottom 5 in the semi nor an elimination in the PQR. It'd have felt to me like I'd be rage quitting. In fact I'd have loved to do it after a qualification to the final (which was basically the reason for me taking part last time). Therefore I'm really happy to have placed exactly 7th. As they say: One should leave off with an appetite.  After all these 5+ years have been fun (although my success was never really big  ) in spite of me hardly ever agreeing with anything lol. I'm most probably never going to be seen in this board again, but if anyone wants to have my opinion on songs he's / she's considering to submit, needs a top 10 for the "other half" of their voting etc., my inbox is always open to you. London – Today the BBC has confirmed the British participation for the 35th North Vision Song Contest. Northvision: Your Decision will once again serve as selection method. The selection is expected to start in the new year. Songs and/or artists can be suggested >>here<<.
