Kazakhstan is OUTToday, after long discussions, the NBU Council decided to suspend the Kazakh participation in the Northvision Song Contest, and the Kazakh head of the delegation, @antwanfromnl , due to repeated infractions towards the NBU, by sending a Tajik singer (Dilnaz) to compete for Kazakhstan, despite the fact it's forbidden to send a foreign act for a country if there are less than nine native acts in a National Selection. KTK - Kommercheskiy Televizionyy Kanal, the Kazakh broadcaster failed to vote in both Semifinal and Final and the NBU had to ask immediately for Back-Up Judges. Kazakhstan won't be able to take part in Northvision for at least three editions, and afterwards, a new broadcaster will have to apply for Northvision, as KTK lost the requirements for the NBU membership and therefore won't be able to join the NBU anytime soon.

NTK-TV Applies for NBU
Right after the news informing that Kazakhstan was disqualified from the contest, NTK, a new broadcaster has sent an application to enter the contest with a new Head of Delegation. The request is still pending a response by the NBU Council, and it's less likely that the Kazakh broadcaster will join Northvision #6. However, Kazakhstan might re-join the contest before the time limit of the imposed fine, but the North Broadcasting Union has to check again if NTK has all the requirements to enter.

Armenia out of NVSC 06
After the controversy with the Armenian national final and the false voting, the NBU has decided that Armenia will be banned from the sixth edition. However, return of the country in the seventh edition is possible if the broadcaster decides to do so. Also, Norway will host the fifth North Vision in Concert instead of Armenia, as the country came second in the selection. AMPTV, the Armenian broadcaster, will additionally receive a strike and pay a fine to the NBU.

!BREAKING NEWS! Romania will have to change their NVSC entry! An anonym source has claimed to the NBU, that the Romanian NVSC #6 entry "Be My Lover" performed by Inna might be a cover! After the NBU checked this, "Be My Lover" by Inna is a cover, more specific a sample, originally performed by La Bouche in 1995. As it is clearly breaking the rules, the NBU found no other solution than asking TVR to change their entry.
